How is my payment account verified?
In order to make a deposit with debit cards and ACH/electronic checks through the PA Online Lottery, your payment method must first be verified, which is done by uploading documentation to your iLottery account. Note: you may need to contact firstname.lastname@example.org to have a document require added to the My Documents area of your account before getting started.
To make a ACH/electronic check deposit, you will need to supply a bank account statement or a voided check. Debit card deposits require an image of the card and a statement from the account. You will only need to verify your payment method once.
One exception to the payment account verification requirement is when making a deposit through PayNearMe.
What Is PayNearMe?
While most people are aware of how debit cards and electronic checks work, PayNearMe is a payment method you may not have heard of. Fortunately, it comes with a major pro: because you essentially deposit with cash when using PayNearMe, you do not need to submit documentation to verify your PayNearMe deposits.
To use PayNearMe, you will need to print a barcode from your PA Online Lottery account. You will then take the barcode to a participating PA Lottery retailer and use cash to deposit to your account. PayNearMe is available at select locations including 7-Elevens, Family Dollar and CVS.
How much money can I deposit into my account?
PA online lottery players can deposit as little as $10 to play the real money instant games. This minimum threshold is available for all PA deposit methods.
The maximum amount that can be deposited depends on your chosen deposit method. Debit cards and ACH/electronic deposits are set by the payment processors themselves but typically have limits of $1,000 per day. PayNearMe has a $500 daily deposit limit.
Are there any fees associated with depositing into my account?
In short, no. The PA Lottery does not charge any fees when making a deposit into your account. However, your bank may charge a fee for making a deposit. Fortunately, this is not the case for most deposit methods. Be sure to check with your bank or financial institution before depositing if this is a concern for you.
How long does it take to fund my account?
Most deposits should be available immediately or shortly after initiating your deposit. The Pennsylvania Lottery says that electronic check deposits are the best for receiving your money as quickly as possible. However, debit card transactions should also be very quick.
When making your first deposit, take note that payment method verification effectively extend the amount of time it will take to make your first deposit.
Do I get a bonus when making a deposit?
Yes! In addition to the $5 no deposit bonus, you can also receive a much larger bonus on a first deposit. The PA Online Lottery will match your first deposit 100% up to $100, which will be credited as bonus money.
Note that you will need to play through deposit and bonus 10x before the bonus money is transferred into cash.
