One of the newest line of games, PA Xpress Sports are the lottery’s version of virtual sports, which allow players to wager on simulated sports action. Popular with players who enjoy some more depth for their gambling dollar, PA Xpress Sports games can be watched live from monitors at lottery retailers.
PA players can wager on Xpress Football or Xpress Car Racing, with drawings held every five minutes. The games are not currently available online, but we wouldn’t be surprised to see this change at some point.
Let’s be honest, the PA Online Lottery VIP Player’s Club leaves something to be desired, at least in terms of a rewards program. The VIP program essentially acts as a hub for your online lottery account to monitor account information, enter Second Chance drawings and receive frequent Coupon Offers, such as discounts on scratch-off and fast play games.
When you sign-up for the iLottery, you’ll automatically receive a VIP Players Club account to take advantage of these limited perks. Hopefully, as we see the iLottery expand, we will see the PA Lottery integrate online lottery activity within the program, so frequent players will actually receive an extra benefit when they play.
The PA Lottery is home to over 15 unique games comprising of a mix of reveal and collect style games with more engaging games.
Reveal games are aptly named because they allow a player to reveal symbols to play, similar to how lottery scratch-off tickets work. In the game, you will reveal the game pieces to match a designated number of symbols -- often three or four -- and you will receive the designated prize. Players can reveal symbols one by one or clear them all at once. Here is an example of a reveal game in which I won by matching three symbols.
With collect-style games, you will accumulate sections on a game board. For example, on Super CashBuster, you roll the dice to accumulate spots to win a prize. If you "collect" enough spots before your rolls run out, you win. Here, I just rolled a purple, which knocked out a nice number of blocks:
Cash and Conquer, one of my personal favorites, is a game where you must outduel a computer opponent to win at least five spots on a game board to earn a prize. Players are given the choice of what area they would like to "conquer." A roll of the dice determines whether you conquer the area or not. The game is compelling to play because it only has more depth to the game, but it also takes longer, which give you more entertainment value for your dollar.
While reveal and collect games can be extremely simple games, some other games in the PA iLottery have a bit more substance to them with players given more choices and the ability to play mini-games.
The PA iLottery was introduced with around 10 games and has expanded to 16 in a couple months. New games are being introduced to the PA online lottery every few weeks. The best thing about these games is because they are available online you can play them anytime you want.

The PA Lottery has been offering games to Pennsylvanians since 1972 while the iLottery launched in May of 2018. The program’s primary mission is to assist in the financial needs of the state’s oldest citizens which is reflected in the organization’s motto: Benefits Older Pennsylvanians Every Day. More than $20 billion has been raised since 1972 through these programs.
Pennsylvania law requires that 40% of all lottery proceeds are as prizes although the actual number is closer to 60%. Another 30% is paid to Pennsylvania funding programs, while around 10% is split between the retailer and vendor commissions as well as operating expenses.
